Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief

Aug 28, 2017

UPDATE: Frazer church offices and Kindergarten will be closed Monday Sept. 11 and all programs/activities cancelled due to the threat of severe weather. Our prayers are with all who are in the path of Hurricane Irma.

UPDATE: Thank you to the many who responded with personal hygiene items for evacuees from Hurricane Irma staying in Montgomery. Frazer is a potential shelter site but at this point has not been called on by the Red Cross to open. Thanks to your generosity we have been able to give $10,000 to aide those hit by Harvey and we will continue to respond to the unfolding situation with Hurricane Irma.

Frazer is joining together with churches everywhere in lifting up our prayers for those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and the Gulf Coast region. We are coordinating our response through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), an excellent "boots on the ground" organization within the United Methodist Church which has the experience and expertise to deal with catastrophes of this level.

You can participate now by giving to the Frazer Disaster Relief Fund (click the button below and select Disaster Relief for your gift designation), and/or collecting supplies for Clean Up Kits and Hygiene Kits (click the link below for instructions).

Frazer will also be looking to send a mission team later during the recovery stage. We have found that our greatest impact for people in need can come weeks or even months later when first responders have left the area, and residents begin the long process of trying to put their lives back together. For more information about joining a future Disaster Recovery Team, contact Rev. Brandon Dasinger.
