Traditional & Contemporary In-Person & Online Worship Details

SEPT 13, 2020 @ 9:30AM - NOON

In-Person Worship: Frazer will reopen for in-person worship on Sept. 13.  Traditional Worship will take place at 9:30am in the Sanctuary.  Contemporary Worship will take place at 11am in Wesley Hall.  We will follow all state and local ordinances regarding masks, and, more importantly, we want to follow the Law of Christ, which is to love my neighbor as myself. Right now, one of the ways we love our neighbors is by wearing a face covering, especially when we are singing. Remember, the mask isn’t really there to protect you, but to reduce the risk for others. If you happen to forget your mask, we’ll have some extras on hand.  Here a few other things to note concerning in-person worship:

  • Enter through one of three doors—the front by the Church Office, or either end of the Atrium.
  • As you enter, we’ll check your temperature and someone will sign you in. Stay home if you have fever or any other symptoms of illness.
  • Once inside, we’ll maintain social distancing of six feet between households.

Online Worship: Traditional Worship will resume live streaming at 9:30am, and Contemporary Worship will resume live streaming at 11am.

  • Tune in to WSFA 12 or WFRZ 13 TV at 9:30am for the Traditional Worship
  • Tune in to WFRZ 13 TV at 11am for the Contemporary Worship
  • Download the Frazer Channel on your Roku, AppleTV, or Amazon FireTV streaming device to also tune in live at those times.
  • Watch on our website.
  • Watch on Facebook live.

Nursery, Children's & Student Ministries Resume Sept. 13

With Frazer worship and all on-campus ministries reopening Sept. 13, Nursery, Children's, and Student Ministries will also return inside the building that same day.  Wednesday night events (with the exception of Wednesday Night Supper) will also resume that week on Sept. 16.

Children's Ministry: Nursery and Children’s Sunday School will be available by pre-registration at 9:30 and 11:00am.  Wednesday night Bible study and nursery will also be available 6-7pm by preregistration. Parents will need to register their child every week.

Student Ministry: Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible studies will resume Sept. 13 & Sept. 16, respectively.  Registration is not required, but please note the following details:

  • On Sundays, students will meet in the JEMAC. Doors open at 9:20am.  Students must enter through the front, Atlanta Highway side of the JEMAC.  Temperature checks and masks are mandatory.  Students will be divided into groups and begin their live-streamed studies at 9:45am.  At the end of class, students will be escorted to the Atrium to attend worship or be picked up.
  • On Wednesday evenings, check-in will be in the same place, same process, and same rules as Sunday morning.  Students will then go to the Great Room where seats will be socially distanced.  Doors will open at 6:10pm, worship starts at 6:30pm, and pickup will be at 7:30pm.

Frazer to Shift Food Service Model

Frazer’s Lead Team and Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) announced this week a difficult but necessary restructuring of our staff with regard to Food Services in order to keep our budget strong and aligned to our ministry priorities.

Participation in meals prepared by the Frazer Kitchen has been declining for years, largely because the way families prefer to eat in today’s society has changed. Whereas at one time churchwide meals paid for themselves, over the past five years Frazer’s Food Services area has operated at a substantial and increasing loss. As a result, it is no longer sustainable to maintain a full time Kitchen Staff.

Instead, it was decided that the better way to steward the funds entrusted to the church will be to use outside catering as needed for events. Volunteer teams will continue to have the opportunity to use the kitchen facilities under the coordination of the Church Administrator.

The decision to release staff members did not come lightly. “We celebrate the excellent work of our Food Services team,” said Church Administrator Bob Wood. A generous severance package has been extended by the SPRC to those whose positions were discontinued.

“Sharing meals together has always been a part of Christian tradition, and it always will be,” said Senior Pastor Chris Montgomery. “I’m thankful for the food ministries that have brought us together in the past, and I’m also thankful for leaders who have the courage to adapt to the present so that we can continue to invest in fruitful ministries in the future.”

Small Group Leader Training

Small Group Leader Training

SEPT 09, 2020 @ 8:00 PM VIA ZOOM

Small groups are the key to connecting people together where they can grow spiritually, and small group leaders make that possible. We're looking for new leaders willing to step up and coordinate a group of 3-12 adults, whether in person or virtual.  If you think God may be calling you into this area of ministry, make plans to attend the virtual new leader training on Sept. 9 at 8pm via Zoom.  For more details, email smallgroups@frazerumc.org or text "Groups" to 334.544.1404.
