Frazer Kids Camp 2021!

Kym Klass   |    Jun 10, 2021

Frazer Kids descended upon Camp Chandler this past week, finding their way through four packed-filled days of horseback riding, archery, shaving cream wars, swimming, journaling and living through the "Back to His Future" theme of Jeremiah 29:11 -- "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

It wasn't only games and swimming that gave life to the dozens of children, but lessons about

Mary Ellis, 8, and a rising third grader said while camp was fun with its crazy games, she said learning about Jesus taught her that "you should trust in Jesus to hold you future and don't be scared of your future."

Uchenna Okoroafor, also 9, lives in Montgomery and will be in the fifth grade this year. Asked what she loves about camp, she smiled widely and said, "Everything! Swimming! Horseback riding ... but they smell!"

She learned this past week how Jesus can give wisdom to people ... we're learning about Solomon right now, and how Jesus gave wisdom to him."

Jesus gives Okoroafor wisdom, she said, "whenever I trust Him."

Ben Brewer is 10, and will be a fifth grader in the fall, and enjoys camp because, " ... first of all, I have a lot of friends here, and it's just fun."

During his second day at the camp, he said God always has plans for us ... and we know it's going to be good for us."
