Summer Ministry Internship

FORM, hosted by Frazer and Christ Community Church, is a transformative 10-week internship program for young adults ages 18-24, offering an immersive, hands-on ministry experience. Interns have the opportunity to select a church and specialize in a specific area of ministry, while also gaining valuable insight into broader pastoral responsibilities and day-to-day church leadership. Position offerings are available in areas such as Pastoral Leadership, Worship, Children’s, Missions, Communications, and MORE! Internship applications open on January 15 and will close on March 1.

2024 Year in Review

From hosting the Southeast Region Conference to helping churches in Holguin, Cuba, with construction and renovation costs, and to celebrating 130 years at Frazer, Pastor Chris says, "With all the challenges that followers of Christ are facing today, your resolve to not give up or give in is a testimony to the River Region and beyond." Dr. John Ed Mathison now a Free Methodist pastor

We’re excited to share that Dr. John Ed Mathison is now a Free Methodist pastor as of Monday, March 4, 2024. He had been a part of the UMC for 64 years, and said, “To realize that removing my name from the clergy list of the Alabama-West Florida Conference will be the first time in 100 years that the Mathison name has not been on the clergy list—which included my father, Dr. Si Mathison, my brother, Dr. George Mathison, and me. “I am excited about becoming a Free Methodist Minister. I am most proud to be the Pastor Emeritus of Frazer Free Methodist. I believe God has a lot of productive years ahead for me and my family.” Frazer’s Senior Pastor, Dr. Chris Montgomery added, “We are thankful for John Ed’s faithful service to Methodism and the universal Church for so many decades. We are excited to see him continue to pour into and build up leaders through John Ed Mathison Leadership Ministries while he continues to serve as a Pastor at Frazer Free Methodist Church.” Dr. John Ed Mathison will provide the message at Frazer on March 17, 2024 at both our Traditional and Contemporary services.
