Live stream trouble shooting

We're so sorry you're unable to access the stream. We want as many people as possible to be able to log on, so we want to help you. Here are a few things you can do to work through basic trouble shooting, please read through them before contacting us.

You need a high speed internet connection to access our stream. We recommend at least having a consistent 4-5mbs download speed, but the faster the better. You can check your download speed by clicking here.

We do occasionally have trouble broadcasting the stream - If you are seeing other people in the chat or comments say that they're having the same issue as you there might be a problem with the stream itself, please be patient and rest assured that our media team is working hard to restore the stream to it's full functionality, and things like internet outages and equipment failures are beyond our control. If everything appears to be working on our end you can use the following steps.

If you're watching on a Mac or PC:
- try closing and reopening your internet browser, or turning your computer on and off again.
- make sure both your internet browser is up-to-date
- Try a different browser. We recommend using Firefox or Chrome as your browser (which is available for free here.)
- If all else fails try accessing the stream at http://youtube.com/frazerchurch
- If there is no stream at youtube then we may be having trouble broadcasting the stream due to a power or internet outage or some other technical issue.

If you're accessing it from a tablet or phone:
- be sure that your device is updated
- make sure that you're either connected to a strong LTE connection or to a solid WiFi connection (many "free" public wifi hot spots won't be fast enough to support streaming)
- try installing a different browser (firefox and puffin browser are both available for free in both the android and apple app stores; puffin works well.)
- If all else fails try accessing the stream at http://youtube.com/frazerchurch
- If there is no stream at youtube then we may be having trouble broadcasting the stream due to a power or internet outage or some other technical issue.
If you're watching from a TV connected device (Roku, Fire TV, or Apple TV)
- try uninstalling the Frazer app/channel and reinstalling it.
- try accessing the stream through another device to make sure we're streaming
- If all else fails try accessing the stream at http://youtube.com/frazerchurch
- If there is no stream at youtube then we may be having trouble broadcasting the stream due to a power or internet outage or some other technical issue.

Also please keep in mind that we do try to get the stream started on time but occasionally technical issues (or simply a service starting later than usual) can cause us to not stream right at the appointed time.

If you've tried these steps and are still having trouble during the live stream, please feel free to log on to http://frazer.church/live and use the chat feature to ask the host specific trouble shooting questions. Please stay on and be prepared to answer questions so that we can help you.

If the host is away or if you have questions after the stream is done, and you've worked through all the trouble shooting above feel free to email info@frazerumc.org with the following info:

What is the nature of your trouble? (streaming never starts, streaming cuts out, can't hear audio etc)
What have you done to try to fix it?
What device you are accessing the stream on? (iPhone, PC, tablet, Roku, etc)
If you're accessing it on a mobile device, are you using LTE or Wifi?
what browser(s) are you using?
If you're accessing it on a computer, is it a Mac, Windows, or other operating system?
Who is your internet provider?
When was the last time you successfully accessed the stream?
Have you tried accessing the stream on youtube?
